Chandra Sheppard joined Wendy H. Schwartz and Associates in November 2019. She received her B.A. in political science from George Mason University, graduating summa cum laude and also graduated cum laude from George Mason’s Antonin Scalia School of Law.
During her first year of law school, Chandra worked as a judicial intern at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia under the tutelage of the honorable Robert R. Rigsby. While in law school, she served as a trial advocacy executive board member and an administrative law research assistant. During her second year of law school, she worked as a summer honors law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency Office of the General Counsel. In her final year of law school, she clerked for a small firm in Fairfax, Virginia doing civil litigation work. After graduating from law school, Chandra taught as an adjunct law professor focusing on criminal law and statutory interpretation.
Before law school, Chandra worked with AmeriCorps to provide immigration aid to those living in underserved, Spanish speaking communities. In her spare time, she is an advocate of tiny home living and enjoys raising her chickens.
Chandra is a member of the family law section of the Virginia State Bar, and is a member of the family law section of the Fairfax Virginia Bar Association. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and her D.C. Bar admission is pending.
